Wednesday Hodgepodge!

Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup.. join in anytime! Hope you enjoy!

1. What lesson has failure taught you?

Wow. I have failed so many times in my 37 years and I think it has taught me humility more than anything. It takes a lot to acknowledge your failures and learn from the mistakes.

2. What decision are you glad you made?

I am so glad I moved out of the town I grew up in. Once upon a time, it was a nice place to be but now its filled with so many drugs, corruption, and trouble. I would be a complete mess if I lived there. Moving away was the best decision I ever made.

3. I've been a little bit surprised to see fully lit and decorated Christmas trees popping up for the past several weeks in friend's Instagram feeds. So tell the truth-is your tree up and decorated, and if so when did that happen? If not, when will you be decking the halls?

Nope ours is not up! I don't really like to put it up before Thanksgiving. It just has never felt right to me to be celebrating one holiday while being decorated for another. My type A personality just can't handle that. But I probably will decorate the fireplace for Christmas because I want to have my sister in law take our holiday pictures while she is here.

4. Solitaire-Poker-Rummy-Hearts-Go Fish-Old Maid...which game of cards would you most like to join?

Well I have kids so I would to pick either Go Fish or Old Maid. I don't really know how to play anything on that list besides Solitaire!

5. This question comes to you courtesy of a Facebook friend, who once upon a time had a blog...When you're feeling stressed do you snack a lot or are you more the 'can't eat' type?

It really all depends on how upset I am. Most of the time I can still eat but normally when someone has passed away or something very serious is going on...I over look eating. I just get so consumed with everything going on that I just skip meals.

6.  Have you ever reviewed a product or service on line? Was your review favorable or less than favorable?

I do reviews all the time on here and some are good and some not so good. I don't think there is a point in doing a review sponsored or otherwise and not being honest. However, I am careful to point out what works for me might not work for others. But honesty is always the best policy when it comes to reviewing products. If you are interested in any of my reviews you can click right here  to check them all out!

7. What was the best conversation you had yesterday?

Oh wow.. Well my sister is in Ireland and she wanted to get my mom and I on skype and ask us our thoughts on a pretty serious subject. While I don't feel right discussing it, it was great seeing her even though she is across the world. Thank you to all the technology that is around to keep us all close. It was also nice seeing my mom on skype too. I loved it and happy that we all got to talk.. and now I am just waiting on the next announcement to come!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Today I am filming and editing an updated pantry video for my new kitchen series. I should have had it done yesterday but husby switched his off days and messed up my entire schedule! But I am up and ready to start getting it done. Plus I have a lot to do around the house too so it looks like its going to be a long day. I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.. I'll be back soon!

  1. When my hubs works from home my schedule goes out the window. I do love the face to face time we are able to enjoy via technology. Makes distances feel less in spite of the miles.

Thank you so much for your comment. I love hearing from you! It takes me a minute to moderate the comments so it should show up shortly.
